My Pinguina PAC T100P air conditioner indicates PF when trying to start it cooling. Fan works, compressor evidently does not. No dirty filter, no water collected. Happened in the middle of the night while on Auto at 72 degrees.

Why does my PAC unit continuously flash PF at random and simultaneous intervals?

Wild guess this is a portable air machine? with a tube out a window? Wild guess, there's a condensate "leak" where it shouldn't be. The tank drain might be blocked for some reason. or level of the machine or coils are dirty in spite of the filter.

Filter dirty and blowing warm air

If your filter is dirty, the fan inside the house cannot push the cold air thru the evaporator, cool air cannot circulate, this will cause the compressor outside to over heat and even damage it and possible trip some fuses or circuit breakers, with these hotter days you want to change out your filters more often, changing out your filters more often will keep the evaporator cleaner and allow the cool air to flow, easier.good luck!

Delonghi Pac-C110 air conditioner The compressor is overheating and shutting down but works fine when running. There is a slight squeaky noise when running that seems to come from the squirrel cage...

The overheating & squeaking may be a result of a blockage in the exhaust hose. Or the exhaust hose has to much of a downward slope. Also, try cleaning the air intake filter. It may be clogged.

We have one of the ACC108PS air conditioners that is not cooling right - do we need freeon - if so is it rechargeable?

Start your window air conditioner troubleshooting with checking the different modes of operation to see which components operate. Turn the unit fan to on and the cool and heat modes off. If the fan does not operate, check the power supply to the unit. Check to see if the breaker or fuse for the unit is tripped. If the breaker/fuse is tripped, check to make sure that it is the proper size circuit for the unit you have. On some units, there is a current interrupter on the power cord to the unit. Check to see if it is tripped by pushing the reset button.
If the circuit is the proper size, then you can go ahead and reset the breaker/fuse. If it trips again, then you require further troubleshooting. Shut the power off and check all of the wiring in the unit to make sure that none of the connections is loose or damaged.
If the fan does not operate but the fuse/breaker is not tripped, you should check the run capacitor for the fan and compressor. If the capacitor is good but the fan motor does not operate, you can check the fan switch and the fan motor. Ensure that the fan blades spin freely.
If the fan motor operates but the compressor does not start, change the capacitor but first you should feel the compressor with your hand. If it is very hot, then you should allow it to cool.
Then, you should attempt to start the unit in the cooling mode. As you do so, listen for a clicking sound which is an indication that it is attempting to start. If the compressor starts but does not cool properly, the unit may be low on refrigerant.
If the compressor attempts to start but shuts off very quickly, the compressor could be bad. You could try installing a "Hard Start"

If the compressor does not attempt to start, ensure that the thermostat is set below room temperature. On units with a mechanical control, you will hear a click when you adjust the temperature. That is an indication that the thermostat is working properly.

UNIT WILL NOT COOL. FAN AND HUMIDIFIER WORK. THIS IS ONLY THE SECOND SEASON USED AND THE UNIT HAS NEVER BEEN SITTING UP AND NEVER LAID DOWN OR TURNED UP SIDE DOWN. WHAT IS THE PROBLEM?

Hello,
A portable air conditioner may not cool for several reasons. Check the filter by removing the unit's grill and clean the filter.
Also check for clogs in the evaporator or condenser coils by light vacuuming. Make sure the evaporator isn't frosted over, but if it is, allow it to defrost and normal operation should resume.
Lastly, ensure the ambient temperature is lower than your AC's set temperature, as this can prevent cooling. However, if all of these steps fail to resolve your problem, the compressor may be malfunctioning, and in this case, the compressor needs to be replaced or repaired.
In summary, if the air won't cool, remove the grill and clean the filter. Clean out any clogs in the evaporator or condenser coils by vacuuming them and scrubbing them lightly with an old toothbrush. And since fan is working, you compressor might be defective.
I hope the above information is clear.
Regards.

The unit was working fine, suddenly, compressor stopped. If I let it cool down, it works again, but not for long. My gut feeling is, it's dirty someone or, could be too much pressure in the lines. How do I...

Do not bleed it off. Check the air filter and make sure it is clean. Then check the coils and make sure they are clean. You can buy some coil cleaner that doesn't have to be rinsed if the evaporator coil is dirty. A dirty coil or clogged filter will make the compressor head pressure rise. If this doesn't help let me know. Also make sure that the fan that cools the condenser is running.

Air not very cold. Any advice

Make sure the condenser fan and evaporator fan are running. Check your filters. Make sure the coils are not clogged with dirt or dust. Make sure the compressor is running. Get the refrigerant charge checked.

Air conditioner will come on- fan motor is working- it sounds real low- it was on and then it shut off- waited a good 15 min. and cut it back on- it then started this problem

need more info. Is the fan actually on full force or does it feel like the air flow is restricted (could be dirty coil or filter)

Is the fan on full force but only warm air coming out (compressor not working)

Is the fan on but only cool not cold air coming out (freon leak)

The more info you give the easiest it is to troubleshoot from here.

hope this help
