Question about Sony Playstation 3 (PS3) Console
I was in the middle of a game and suddenly the lights went out on my house and when it came back my tv wasn't working (I think because of a short circuit) and the same for my PS3 it doesn't even start. Does the PS3 have a circuit breaker, how can I fix this?
There is a ceramic fuse (10A 250V) that blew on your power supply. You have three options 1) send it in to a repair shop 2) buy a power supply and fix it yourself (why not, it's already broken whats the worst you could do) make sure you get the right model. the model is on the bottom of the power supply itself or 3) Fix the power supply. You need to know a little about soldering but its the only white fuse on the board you cant miss it. Good luck
In the future you can go to EllisonsMP3repair.com and talk to a tech that knows what there talking about.

Sorry, the PS3 does not have a circuit breaker. Most likely when the power came back on the surge blew the power supply. You can get it serviced by Sony or replace the power supply your self.

a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
