Your PUK code you will need from your service provider but about the texts. try a hardware reset
While the phone is on take out the battery and then the sim, then just insert the battery and power it up. it should ask you for a sim. then wile the phone is still on again take out the battery and put t all back together and it should work.
Dont worry this will not delete anything on your handset the name of the procedure is msleading in that way.
