Hi!

I am assuming that you are trying to do a System Restore on the PC. Unfortunately, you can only use it if you added a System Restore point other than Sept. 22 . If there is no other system restore point, then there is no other way to turn your computer to it's previous state.

Have a nice day!

Service cancelled was billed sept 22, $ 118.

Your credit card or bank can help with this problem. Submit a dispute with this car dealer/mechanic and they'll be more than happy to help. BTW, how does one go about cancelling service if service was already provided?

Heli coil failure

Make sure the heli-coil is all the way in. If not you can probably take a big flathead screw driver and run it in a little farther. Then put plug back in and make sure it is seated good. If youre using a tapered seat plug you might want to try a plug with the metal washer on the seat. If you can't get the heli-coil screwed in any farther take it back where you got it repaired and he'll have the tool that came with the heli-coils to run it in farther. Hope this helps.

I need to do a system restore on my Dell Dimension DE051. I do not have any of the discs and looking for HELP!!!!!

Hello pamnwillie,
To perform a "System Restore.
" Follow these instructions carefully, and you will have no problem at all.
The first thing you want to do is click on the "Start Button,paul7of9_50.jpg" from the Desktop.
Next, click on "All Programs," scroll to find "Accessories," next select the "System Tools.
" You will see in the next window that open, "System Restore!

paul7of9_51.jpg

"Now this is very important!
Once you click on the System Restore "shortcut" it will start to look for the last known time of a change in your computer.
The System restore can take as long as a 1/2 an hour to run, so be patient
"Do not try to do any type of work, don't even touch the keyboard for any reason,
just let it run!"
Once the System Restore finds the correct "Date and Time"of the event;
choose the Date closest to the time of the occurrence.

.paul7of9_53.jpg

Now once again, there will be a message telling you not to do anything with the computer,
and please don't.
The System Restore will "run" for a while, so once again be patient.

The computer will then "Shutdown and Restart."
Lo-gin if you have to; but!
Do not touch the Keyboard once the Desktop window open, because System Restore is still running.
Wait! Until there is a message letting you know the Restore of your System was successful! Take your time.
"I hope all goes well, please let me know if you need further assistant.
Best Regards.
Thanks for using Fix'Ya."

Its not asking me to restore

best way to go about doing what you are wishing to do is to place your Windows XP disc into the computer. If your Bios is set correctly it should come up with something like "Press any key to boot from disc" of course you would press a button and the Blue Windows screen should come up and after some pre-checks it should ask what your wishing to do. From there you would format the computer, and start from scratch. Restore points inless set up, you wouldnt be able to go all the way back to the beginning when you first got the computer. Formating is the 100% sure way of getting everything off of it sept for the OS.

How do i restore my windows vista laptop to

Hi!

Restoring your laptop back to it's original settings can be done in numerous ways but it would be easier to give you specific advice if we knew what brand/model of laptop you have.

Nearly all big brand laptops come with a restore disk or at least the ability to create one. Check the disks that came with your laptop for one labeled "restore" or "repair". If it came with a blank cd/dvd then chances are you'll need to create one.

I think this would be the easiest option for you if you're not too familiar with computers. Let me know what laptop you've got & hopefully i'll be able to point you in the right direction.

Well whatever is going on, I would back-up your important data on two different devices so if this hard drive quits you won't lose it. It sounds like maybe one of the platters in the hard drive has a defect. Norton Utilities has software to check the media but if it is a large HDD it can take a very long time. If something inside is bad it may be time to start looking for a new one.
