Maybe clean the fuel system, like the injectors and stuff, or maybe it needs a new air filter. I am assuming it is fuel injected, since it is a 92. or, maybe it needs something in the ignition system.

92 crown vic lx ... I changed the wiper motor, switch and the power train Control module. Still don't have wipers!! Any suggestiobs??? Thank you!

1. Access the interval governor located above the warning chime
under the driver side of the dash and disconnect it.

2. Install a jumper wire between the Dark Green (DG) wire and the Yellow/Red (Y/R) wire.

3. Install a 2nd jumper wire between the Dark Blue/Orange (DB/O) wire and a Black (BK) wire. Either BK wire of the module should work, both are dedicated chassis grounds for the module.

4. Turn the ignition switch to the Run position and verify that the wipers are running on low speed.

5. Disconnect the jumper wires.

6. Connect an ohmmeter between the Dark Blue/White (DB/W) wire and the Brown/White (BR/W) wire.
With the wiper switch in the OFF position, resistance should indicate about 47,500 ohms.

7. Move the wiper switch to the low speed position, resistance should change to indicate about 4000 ohms.

8. Move the switch to the high speed position, resistance should change to indicate less than 100 ohms.

9. If the wiper motor runs and the switch resistance checks as stated, replace the interval governor.

One or more of your cips(coil in plugs) have gone bad. Go have your code check read at autozone. It should tell you which cip is bad

My Colt's engine heat increasing drastically when driving in slow speed/stucked in traffic jams...

Overheating at low speeds is an indication of coolant flow problem or air flow problems, check you radiator fan, fan relay and coolant level. If you need more help on fixing cooling fan I would suggest you to check out the below site HowTo section http://www.buyautoparts.com/howto/

Engine misses/hesitates on low speeds. Runs fine

is the check engine light on? have you ever serviced the injectors? if not try that first because there are many things that give the symptoms you spoke of. but this is the cheapest.

At 40 klm per hr i get hesitation and at 80 if i hold steady. at 100 it runs great. no problem with hesitation if i take it up to 100 qiuckly. only if you hold it steady at lower speeds

Have the voltage checked on the TPS. If it has an open circuit which is very possible at all areas of the internal reostat it will make the vehicle run such as yours does now

92 dodge colt sedan

hey
in most cases the reason it's of two things. either your catalytic converter is plugged or you are losing fuel either from a plugged filter or a bad fuel pump. wouldn't be a bad idea to check the air filter also.
