There are actually two types of this latch available. Can you tell if yours has a switch in it? You can tell if you can see the bottom. The one with the switch has 2 wire tabs on it.

I have an old Denon stereo receiver DRA - 565 RD. Do you know how I can connect my iPhone to the receiver to play music from my iPhone?

You need a 3,5mm male stereo connector to RCA male jacks (see attached image). Plug the 3.5mm jack to your iPhone and the RCA jacks (red & white or red & black) to your Denon Receiver's CD in or Tape 1 or 2 PB (at the rear of the unit). Then select the input where you plugged the RCA to (front of receiver: CD / Tape-2 / Tape-1). Hope this will help. 25303676-z0ul41frrnrex4ege2epffps-1-0.jpg

Cannot play my ipod through my technics amp

You would need a mini jack to stereo rca wire. Insert the mini jack to your Ipod's headphones, then plug the stereo rca to your amp inputs. If it's a receiver, plug into any of the inputs (aux, tape etc) except "phono or turntable", then switch to respected input on the receiver. Be sure all volumes on both units are down during this process, then gradually turn up both volume to normal level.

How to connect speakers to RCA model #RP-8070D

This unit is just a 5 disc CD player and cannot drive large speakers all by itself. Normally it is hooked up to a stereo receiver / amplifier which is what provides the power to drive the speakers which are wired to the back of the stereo amplifier.

If you have a home stereo, then just run the cables from the 2 AUDIO OUT connectors on the back of your CD player to the CD IN connectors on the back of your stereo.

Then turn your stereo on and select CD on your stereo input mode selector and you should be able to play the cds on your RCA and hear them through the stereo speakers.

If you do not have a stereo amplifier with speakers to connect it to, then you can always listen to it through headphones connected to the headphone jack.

Or if you have a set of self powered amplified speakers, like the kind you hook up to a computer, then you can run the AUDIO OUT cable from your cd player into those as well.

Good luck.

When I play CD only the right speaker is play but

first- is the tuner set to mono or stereo? if stereo, stop using the analog rca jacks and use an optical (toslink) cable to transfer your audio to your receiver. almost all cd players have this output and the same with the receiver. better still, if you are using a late model cd or bluray, and your receiver has hdmi inputs use those as they will transfer both audio and video with one cable.

I have a recently purchased RS 2664 RCA shelf

If the wires got crossed and/or touched each other at all - that could certainly damage the amp(s).
Also - if the system is not made for extra speaker - that would change the ohmage - and that could aslo damage the amp(s)..

Or maybe the system designed to protect the amp(s) was damaged..

Hope this helps !!
Please rate me good ;o)

I have a simple stereo speaker from Radio Shack. Small metal case with two wire input latches. Each box has two speakers in side. Both speakers boxes went out at the same time. I wasn't there when this...

You need to measure across the speakers themselves n ot the crossover (cap). If these are 8 ohm speakers, an ohm meter will read about 6 or so. That is because both impedence and resistance use the same measurement. With an ohm meter you are measuring resistance. The speakers are rated using impedence.

If both speakers are open (measure infinity), I would suspect a problem with the stereo that caused them to go open. With the stereo on and playing something (radio,cd , or whatever) use a DC voltmeter to measure between the speaker terminals (Red/Black). You should read essentially 0 no matter what the volume. If you read any DC more than 3/4 V, the problem is with the amp section of the stereo.

Denon AVR-2105

If the Cd is wired digitally, it will only play through the main zone, because the Denon cannot convert down to RCA to cater for the zone 2. If you plug RCAs from Cd to Denon, Main zone will STILL play from digital, and RCA connection will allow zone 2 to play Cd from RCA input....same with dvd, Satellite Blah blah... no stress, any nasty RCA will do if you want to try before you splash out on really costly cables...perhaps you can help me...want to run AVR 2105 with 2 speakers in zone 2, manual says cant do it - only ably to surround back or biamp...dont want either, dont have stereo yet to try it out...did you have any trouble with that?
