First, Copy the photos (or set as default) to the sd card. (can do all at once from the 'file' icon.)
Connect the phone to the computer and choose "mass storage device" when asked.
The phone will now appear as a 'removeable drive' and you can do as you wish after that.

Pretty sure that the SGH-U600 uses a Micro-SD card you may need an adapter to convert to normal size SD cards if this is not the case the PC will give the card a letter browse for the SD card and then you can copy your My Pictures folder
I easiest method is to use Bluetooth and setup a pairing then just connected each time you want to download pictures from you phone to your bluetooth folder. I use the Belkin Bluetooth 10meter USB Adpater
Thank you for your prompt reply. I solved the problem by simply un-installing the device from my PC and running the installer againg. It did take quite a while to download, but I finally got it to work.
You need to load the Samsung PC Suite on to the computer first and then synchronise the phone and computer. I've backed up all my videos and photos this way. Just be careful if you synchronise your contacts as you may end up with your contacts listed twice!
