    Hi there
So the screen just went blank and the machine shut down?

Just a couple of quick questions.

Where you running off main or battery when this happened?
When ou plug your main power in is there a light at the connector?
When you press the battery charge indicator on the base of the mac do any light come on?
And finally any sound such as start up chime?

Unit has either had a logic board failure or a heatsink failure, most likely a logic board failure though.

Why macbook not turn off blank screen

If the Apple laptop (or desktop) doesn't shut down properly, try pressing and holding in the power button for 3-5 seconds. This will force a shut down. Good idea to wait a few minutes before attempting a restart again.

After I rebooted MacBook screen went black why

Your question is not very clear.
ReBoot restarts the Mac which shuts the power off momentarily.
So... Black screen = power off

Blank screen

Sounds like your screen went bad.
Close the lid, attach an external monitor, open lid and see if the screen appears on the monitor.

Resetting the PRAM may do the trick also:
You reset the PRAM by rebooting a Mac and then immediately hold down the Command+Option+P+R keys, you will then hear the Mac reboot sound again, signifying your PRAM has been reset. You must hit the key combination before the grey screen appears otherwise it won't work.

What is the best solution to fixing a MacBook Pro with a pink screen with lines all over it?

Since you only purchased it 6 months ago, the solution is to use the 12 month warranty. As long as there is no obvious exterior impact marks, then it will be repaired or replaced for free. Just try to copy off any data first, because an exchange does not include data transfer.

Hard drive failure

You can contact this companies regarding data recovery. The "Genius" was wrong about the drive being retuned to Apple, that will only occur if you have a system under warranty, and you would be returning it to Apple to avoid being charged.

As far as replacement hard drive going for $325, that too is pretty steep, see this link:
