Question about Ricoh Aficio 1035 Copier
Duplexing is selected on the machine. The image to be copied is placed in the ARDF and the start button pressed. The image page goes through the ARDF and then a message appears that the ARDF has a jam. There is nothing in the ARDF but when you open it up and close it, the jam message clears. What can I do?
try one sided copy through ARDF, and if its work, then check the solenoid which open the bridge for second side of copy.

Is this a 2-sided original? If so, take off the front cover of the ARDF (1 screw on the top, 2 on the bottom) and look at the solenoid on the front. It controls a gate that redirects the original for a second pass through the feeder, if the spring has popped off the solenoid the gate doesn't move and the paper comes out underneath the feeder tray and displays a jam condition. Pop it back on and you should be fine.

Call a technician, seems like the original is not making the second scan pass and thus displaying a mis-feed, cut also be a small piece of paper in the feeder bloacking a sensor, bad sensor or worn feed tires. www.mfpsolutions.blogpsot.com
