Its probably the fan associated with your laptops processor or (the brain) this part is vital to your laptop. have the fan replaced and you shouldnt have a problem....fans that small are pretty cheap.

Need older bios download for a Compaq Presario 1275 Notebook PC

Are you sure you really need a bios upgrade? I've worked on older computers that have NEVER had a bios upgrade. Ar you having other problems with it, a virus maybe? Can you give us something more to go on to help you?

Compaq presario fan stopping

Take it back to the place of purchase since it is under warranty, otherwise you will damage the processor which the cooling fan protects.

I want to download audio output driver of windows vista for compact presario2000

There are 3 models of hp that starts with Compaq Presario V2000 PC Notebook, they are

» Compaq Presario V2000 CTO Notebook PC
» Compaq Presario V2000T CTO Notebook PC
» Compaq Presario V2000Z CTO Notebook PC

Go to the below link and select your laptop model from the 3

http://h20180.www2.hp.com/apps/Lookup?h_lang=en&h_cc=us&cc=us&h_page=hpcom&lang=en&h_client=S-A-R163-1&h_pagetype=s-002&h_query=Compaq+Presario+V2000+PC+Notebook&submit=Go+%BB

Click the correct link of your computer, in the next page select dyour operating system that is windows vista, if there is no vista there then the driver for vista is not released by hp,if i am right there are drivers for 2nd and 3rd but not the first.

After selecting the operating system click next and select the link to driver-audio and click download

My compaq presario C700 model #C765TU easily gets hot and is crashing

Make sure that there is no dust in the Fans of teh unit. The Compaq's are famous for overheats.

Download a program called SpeedFan available from

www.almico.com/speedfan.php

once you donwload the file install it, it will put the computer's temp in your system tray by the clock

Try and watch the temp and see what its at when the computer shuts down.

If it is an older unit your processor will most likley need to have heat paste applied to the processor.

You can call your local repair shop, some will do it for about 25.00... Make sure that when you use the machine that you provide enough room for the fans to breath, do not set the laptop on a couch, or bed where the heat cannot escape.

Also check to see that the fans on the bottom of the machine are running. they sometimes fail, however you should receive notification of this on the POST when your computer starts.

Hope this helps

Presario 2200 CPU fan appears to be dodgy

Not really, since the fan is controlled ny a thermal sensor on the Motherboard. You may want to start by having the fan and heatsink assembly replaced.
