Have you tried hooking your unit to another computer, just to see if it will recognize it? If so then it may be the drivers or your USB port. Try a different USB port.
Next, try uninstalling all drivers and software, pertaining to your player. reboot the computer then try installing again.

Check the USB cable, from player to PC. May have a damaged cord or corroded contact, clean with rubbing alcohol.

hope this helps.

Barbie Girl mp3- application wont start up

Try restarting your PC once the software has been installed.

I bought one of these for my daughter for Christmas. I didn't bother installing the software that came with the player. Windows Media Player automatically recognised the device allowing me to transfer music to it.

Phillips mp3 player

Connect the player to the power adaptor and connect to the PC.

On the player press and hold "Power" & "Vol +", this should reset the player.

Wait for PC to recognise player.

If this doesn't work try the following:

Connect the HDD6330 to the mains adaptor and the PC.

Before the computer has a chance to recognise the player, press "Power" and "Vol +" to reset the player.

As soon as the player resets (screen goes blank) press and hold "Vol -" until the PC recognises the player as a removable drive.

Try to access the player through "My Computer" as you would the main hard disk.

If the computer recognises the player, then it can be restored by copying the system files directly on to the player.
