On/Off Switch Doesn't work on Lumix DMC-FZ35

I cannot use my camera as the On/Off switch no longer works--feels like it is broken.

it sounds like it has slipped a gear in the lens.. you could try to manually push the lens in when it comes out and that might reset it but it also might break it.. best is to send it back to panasonic.. is a easy fix

Format sdhc card on lumix dmc-fz35
Go into the camera menu and find "format"...follow the on-screen instructions. This will erase the card so download any pics from it first.

My camera was working just fine, then the on off switch no longer works. I couldn't power the camera off. The automatic shutoff turned it off, but of course I can no longer turn it on.
Well, obviously the slide switch is no longer making contact inside the camera. There's nothing you can do...this requires a service tech...not necessarily a panasonic tech but a camera service center would do nicely and probably cheaper.

USERS MANUEL in English needed
Go to the support section of the Panasonic website and enter Lumix FZ35. That's the same camera in the USA. If your camera comes in a color, you will need to add the letter of your color.
