Take out the memory card and put it in a card reader And reformat the card from comand promt that should fix it. TYPE ON RUN CMD an black screen type:  FORMAT /F  C:  THE C: IS THE LETER OF YOUR HARD DISK BUT INSTEAD OF C: PUT THE LETER OF YOUR CARD COULD BE E: F: AND SO ON.IF THAT DOES NOT FIX IT TRY ON THE COPMUTER MANAGEMENT, I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM AND IS OK NOW .

I have bought 8gb memory card and put some songs then i install it in samsung curby2 but it shows that memory card is in unrecognised format.the phone cant support it?

You need to format the card. If you have an otion under memory in settings, sometimes there is an option to format the card there. Otherwise, put it in your computer, go to the samsung site or a format card site and format it for your phone. I transferred all my contacts to a card and there was no order to them, I had forgotten format the SD card. This doesnt happen on a SIM card...only CDMA phones with SD cards

I can't format my new micro sd card

The Samsung Alias works with microSD cards. Your 8GB card is actually a microSDHC card and will not work in devices not designed to work with them. You need to use a microSD card, 2GB or smaller.

How do I format a memory card for a cell phone? (Samsung SGH-i900) It's corrupt. 8GB micro SD

You have the option to format your memory card in the phone only under memory card section. But you can also do it via a computer, just unplug the sd card and the connect it to the computer via card reader and then format it. It will clean the card nice and easily.

Thanks !!

Samsung E900

if the card came with an adapter, then plug it into your computer using a key drive that can take SD cards, an adapter that you can plug in a USB port, or by plugging it directly into the computer (most desktops can do this now). Then go to the card in My Computer, right click on it. and hit properties. A window will pop up. look for a tab called tools, then look for an option called error checking. Run this. If this does not clear up the problem then go back to my computer, right click on the card again, then click "Format...". A Window will pop, up. leave all boxes unchecked and start the format. when its done, it SHOULD fix ur problem. if not then i have no clue.
