THE MOTOR HAS PUSHED BACK INTO THE INTERNAL HOUSING. YOU CAN DISASSEMBLE THE HOUSING AND FORCE THE ELECTRIC MOTOR TO IT ORIGINAL SET UP BUT OVER TIME THE MOTOR WILL KEEP MOVING BACK. THE COOLING FAN WILL BEGIN TO GRIND ON THE HOUSING. THE PLASTIC, HOLDING THE MOTOR IN PLACE,WILL BREAK DOWN AND PUSH AWAY FROM THE ATTACHMENTS.

hello,,There are only three things to cause trimmer head not to turn. 1.Outer shaft has sliped down from engine because screw has fallen out and ring has come loose, 2.Shaft has broken due to excess stress,such as putting on a differant trimmer head or binding up, 3.Trimmer head striped. hope this helps,any comments welcome,thank you.
