Try to reset first if nothing happens we proceed another solution;

Resetting the TV

Some TVs have a reset button. If available and accessible, try using the reset buttons before using the steps below. Using the reset buttons can saved time.
1. Unplug the TV power cord from the power outlet for 3 - 4 hours.
2. Unplug any connected devices (DVD, Set-top boxes, etc...)
3. Press and hold the TV power button for five seconds.
4. Plug the TV power cord back into the power outlet and turn on the TV.
5. Open the on-screen menu to confirm that the TV is responding again.
6. Turn off the TV and reconnect the devices.
7. Turn on the TV.

hope this may help;

Regards,
VOTIT

Check the input selection settings with the remote. The TV have more than one input.

Turn on receiver box, then change input usin the remote, and see if you get signal.

If it does not work test the box on a different tv, to see if the cable box is faulty.

Swap the cables and try and if it doesnot work after that then it is the problem of the socket of the tv in which you insert the pins . sometimes the connections inside the tv gets loosened up so cold soldering it will solve your problem definately .its a very common problem so nothing to worry.

Try to reset the unit, unplug first the power for about 30 minutes to an hour then when you plug thepower to the unit press the power button for about 15 seconds and hopefully that will reset the unit...

Hope that helps..........

Swap the cables then (connect the known working connection from the other TV to the non working one).

Kindly check the cable itself. sometimes the pin in the center is not long enough to touch the center of the socket to make a connection. make a continuity check of the cable ground and center wire.

check also if you have signal from the box by using another tv.

tnx 4 using fixya,

Our new Sharp LC-32SB24U has a box that comes and goes on the upper right hand corner that says audio and flahses the words stereo and audio and then goes away..any ideas?

Change up your connection. If you have a cable/satellite box, get rid of that coax cable connection and use red white and yellow RCA cables to connect and that will take care of the problem. if you dont have a cable box(but i bet you do), you will need to run your cable through another device because you cant do anything to turn that off. another device such as a vcr, cable box, or a converter box. hope that takes care of it, good luck 2u
