Question about Maytag Neptune FAV6800AW Top Load Washer
Have done some diagnostics myself I know it is a problem with the motor as per the maytag owners manual. The belt is intact and the shaft spin freely which indicates no siezed bearings. I do not want to pay a repair person $70.00 just to tell me that I need a new motor! Everything else apprears to be working fine. It just won't tumble or spin!
I think you better see this link, there is a bulletin issued regarding your problem.
here is the link...http://www.servicematters.com/maytag_library/docs/ITDL-0017-B.pdf
i hope that answers your problem.
tnx 4 using fixya,

Tips for a great answer:

Lr means locked rotor,
this issue occurs due to locked rotors, you'll need to check the rotor wiring
and motor windings. If the wiring is good and windings are not burnt then
you'll need to replace your motor and motor control board. These are sold as one
unit, it is a 3 phase motor and one of the phases is bad as a little power
surge can damage the boards. Hope
this helps...please post back for further assistance.
