My computer battery does not work but the battery itself works.....my roomate has the same computer as me and we switched batteries and my battery worked in her computer yet her battery did not work in mine....i think that it might be a problem that my computer has...also my fan stopped working...its doesn't give air no more and i didn't do anything to it...it shuts off when it overheats what should i do?? and can this be a cause of a virus?? i've hp pavilion dv2601tu notebook. my notebook's fan is not working.
Viruses will not cause these symptoms....
First of all, do not keep running the laptop in that fashion, the CPU will overheat and die on the unit. Have it serviced for the fan problem. The circuit that controls the battery also may be bad. In any case , you need to have it serviced.
