I am an electrician, 230V means it is single phase. It would be 415V if it was 3 phase. It will have a 3 pin plug, if the centre pin is bigger than the top two it will require a 15amp powerpoint to power it. 3000W / 230V means it may draw 13 amps even though it has 9A on the tag. I would expect it to require a 15amp powerpoint.

A plug, on your power cord, with two prongs and a ground is single phase, three prongs and a ground would indicate three phase. Unless I misunderstood your question, that is your answer.

I worked at a tool rental center while I was going to college and learned a great deal about equipment and power requirements for tools. Large electric hammers draw a great deal of amps thus created a problem on construction sites. Bosch and other brands made hammers such as yours that would would work on long extension cords that worked off of special generators such as this one: http://www.southern-tool.com/store/multiquip_gdp-5000h_generator.html . This miltiquip generator has a special outlet for three phase at 230v. Your hammer was probably designed to work on a generator such as this. Hope this helps, enjoy.

I bought a new jack hammer. After using it for a few hours grease started to come out where the bit is. Is this normal

No thats not normal real JACK HAMMERS on AIR ??? but its not Milwaukee not Bosch not Dewalt but a China brand? if you are have a real jack hammer then its not the right collum because its placed under Hammer drills? and you have also not possible speaking about maybe a little weight rotary hammer ? because ONLY real demolition and jackhammers are very specially made for the long lasting jobs !!! but the weight and power is very important by use the right tool for the right job the most rotary hammers ( exept brands like Hilti and Duss) are not made for long lasting jobs and are made for only working for a short time. its also makes the great price difference between a hammerdrill a rotary hammer a real demolition or a real jackhammer is much higher price. The tools on air Atlas Copco or Ingersoll for the hard and heavy jobs
If you have bought your tool by a hardware store and it is a real jack hammer go immediately back its possible that you are wrong informed by the seller or the budget was the fact. about the price for the tool maybe you have a real jackhammer but have choose a to little model size machine to do the job or its a budget brand online bought China machine. Its a simple question but a hard answer, difficult questions do not exist but difficult answers sometimes.
Regard and luck by warranty and a very small change maybe it is just only a factory flaw.

How to replace knob assembly on bosh 1 1/8 rotary hammer drill 11222 evs

Push the red button all the way in as far as it goes and turn the knob to the left (counter clockwise) past it's normal position. Then you can pull the knob out. When you replace it make sure that the pin part fits inside the slot of the shifting arm inside the tool.

How to replace knob assembly on bosh 1 1/8 rotary hammer drill 11222evs

Here is a link to the parts diagram. It shows what position the knob needs to be in the remove it. You also have to push the button in further then normal. I just use a small screwdriver. Once you rotate it further past the last position you will be able to lightly pull up on it while slowly rotating and it will release. It has tabs molded into the plastic knob so it can only come out when they align with the housing it fits into.

Hammer drill won't hammer

Without knowing which model you have: Most Bosch hammer drills use a plastic connecting rod to attach the piston to the rotating spindle. These are a common failure item and fairly easy to replace.

Replacing cord on Bosch Hammer Drill

I don't know what model you have but most Bosch hammer drills have three or four screws on the backside of the handle that, when removed, let you split the handle from the motor housing and gain access to the switch and brushes. The screws may or may not be covered by a rubber, non-slip covering that you'll have to peel back to get at them.

I have a Bosh, model no. 11232 EVS Hammer Drill, but do not have the service manuel, and would like to know how to service it, how and when.

Many people service their hammer drill when it begins leaking, stops hammering, or just quits running. Bosch makes a service kit that comes with brushes, grease, and all the o-rings and seals their own technicians at the Factory Service Center use to rebuild the tool. 1617000263 is the part number for the service kit, and costs under 50.00 . The unit will have to be torn down and cleaned(everything forward of the armature). If you dont do it for a living, it can become quite a project. Try to avoid bringing into a service center disassembled, because they will charge you more than if you just dropped it off for a rebuild.
