Re: Enlarged icons and text
The following should get you back to normal:
Click the "Start" button
Click "Control Panel"
Click the "Settings" tab on the top
Near the bottom is a box that says "Screen Resolution" , to make the stuff on the screen smaller , slide the bar toward the right and hit apply. You may need to slide it over a couple of times to make the display look correct on your screen.
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

I like to help you regarding your concern having big Icons on your desktop, you mentioned that your kid accidentally pressed something on the machine that made everything big, See steps below to changes the Icons or your systems desktop settings.
First the system should be turned ON and logged in to Windows, I am assuming that you have Windows7 on your computer.
On the keyboard Hold down the CTRL button while holding down the CTRL key on the mouse scroll, scroll backwards this should make things smaller again.
If the screen on the Internet is also big do the same thing while your Internet Explorer is open this should change the size of the text / pictures anything on the Internet explorer.
But if the above does a different function from what you are experiencing then I believe that you are experiencing some changes in the resolution of the screen if everything is Enlarged.
Click on Start then on the search bar type in display, a list will show look for Display then click on it to open up the Display window then click on Adjust resolution.
The resolution on your screen depends on how big the LCD screen is
On the Resolution page you can pretty much check each resolution on the list that will be better to you, then click on Apply lower right then OK to apply settings on this page.
I hope that this will be of help regarding your concern.
Go to your control panel in the start menu. Search "Display" in the search box and then click Display when it appears. Then choose to expand things by 125% or 150% with "medium" or "large" respectively.
I am taking for granted that you are running Windows 7 in that case here are the steps:
Start Panel (Orb in bottom left corner)
Appearance and Personalization
Display.......You should see an option for making the text smaller or bigger click on their (By default it should be set to 100% with the word smaller next to it. This should fix your problem, if not just let me know and we will get it taken care of
You may have hit the "F11" key which takes the open window to fullscreen. "F11" toggles large, small... If not that, beboot. If that doesn't clear it up, then the display settings have gotten altered. Right click on the desktop, select "settings" and increase the resolution. Windows should prompt you to keep or reject the change. Select yes or no when prompted.
right click on Desktop then click properties. across top you will see several tabs. click on Setting. on lower left side you will see screen resolution. move the bar to the left and click ok on size you prefer. you can move this bar until you get the size you want 800X600 or 1024 x 760 would be the first ones to start with
