Question about Lexmark Office Equipment & Supplies

1 Answer

I have a wireless lexmark printer and since changing internet providers it refuses to recognise any of the computers on my home network. I have re-established a hard wired connection with my pc's but the problem is still there. I have had a message about some hardware for the printer being unable to be found and think I may need to reinstall the printer via disc. I have lost the disc. Is there a resourse on line where I can download the information I need?

If the internet provider, gave you a Wireless hub/router to use, it is possible that you need to reconfigure the wireless settings of the printer so that it can see the new wireless hub.

after this is done the printer should work fine,

Make my Lexmark x5340 be wireless'

Is this a wireless printer? Is it being used for a large office or a small home type office? If you are using it for a home office and have multiple pcs, then you can setup a homegroup. A homegroup is like building your own personal small network. You will be able to share and print documents between your computers. Once you setup the homegroup, on one computer, then you will have to add the other computers to the group using the access code that the first computer will provide. Be sure to enable printer and file sharing when setting-up the homegroup. Once setup, you will be able to print your documents from any connected printer on your network. It's not wireless but it might help to solve a print sharing problem. Good luck. How To Set Up Homegroup Sharing Plus Printer Sharing

No ip address and there is no communication

You'll have to connect your printer to your network to get a valid IP address. If you've already tried that, please unplug the power of your printer for about 30 seconds then plug it back in.

Once your printer is back on, connect the USB cable and run the wireless setup. You can access that through Lexmark Printer Home. To access that, on your computer, click on Start > All Programs > Lexmark > Lexmark Printer Home > Settings tab > Wireless Setup Utility > Follow the prompts.

Make sure to type in the correct credentials for your network.

Try to reset your printer's wireless network adapter. From the printer operator panel, press the Setup button > Network Setup > Reset Network Adapter to Defaults. The WiFi light on your printer will momentarily turn off then on to a solid orange light. You may then run the printer wireless setup utility on your computer to configure the printer for wireless connection.

My lexmark printer will not print recently moved using new provider for internet computer is mac os x

If your printer was connected wireless to your system prior to changing internet provider, you may need to reset your printer's wireless network adapter first and then reconfigure it to reconnect to your new wireless network.
If you need the Lexmark printer driver for your Mac, please visit www.lexmark.com.

My printer is connected to another wireless network which is not the same as my laptop how do i connect it to the right one?

I`ll guess You`ll have to connect your PC to the printer with the use of a usb cable.
Then run the Lexmark software (Lexmark printer home) or similar (don`t know what you are using?)... Go to "settings"; and choose wireless setup utility. You`ll have to manually set the SSID (the wanted wireless network) and the WIFI password for this network. Hope this will help.

Lexmark wi fi printer need the wap code for the roter

If your wireless network is secured, the WPA or WEP security encryption key is a requirement to successfully connect the Lexmark printer to a wireless network. These keys (WPA or WEP), if you don't know it, can be obtained by accessing your wireless router through the computer. Your wireless router manufacturer or your internet service provider can better assist you in obtaining that info. Thanks.

Printer not printing

You need to reconfigure the printer and set it up to the new wireless network. You have to reset the printer's network adapter. On the printer, press Settings > Network Setup, hit Ok > Reset Network Adapter to Factory Defaults, hit Ok. The wifi light will turn off for a few seconds, then will light up solid orange. Then reinstall the printer for wireless connection. Make sure to use the correct security encryption info, if there is. If you need more assistance, leave a comment and I'll get back to it. Thanks.

I purchase a wireless interprets 405> Do i need a router foir the wireless

X1270 is not a wireless printer...
I find nothing on an Interprets 405...
If you have purchased a wireless printer device, your computer will need a wireless card.
If your computer has wireless built in and you have no router it is called an 'Ad Hoc' network. The printer must support an 'Ad Hoc' network or you will need a wireless router.
'Ad Hoc' networks are notoriously insecure, so a wireless router is a very wise choice. It helps keep you safe from hackers on the Internet as well as it functions as a home firewall and network host.
If this does not help, please give me more detail.

If the printer itself is wireless, it does not need to recognize your wireless computer network. Call Lexmark to walk you through proper installation. Lexmark's manuals are not adequate regarding setup, in my opinion.
