Sounds as though theres no power getting to the card if theres no light on it - the dell 6XX series has a weakness in the PCMCIA connector too - it can easily flex and seperate from the socket on the motherboard over time and especially in transit. I wouldnt suggest trying to fix it yourself but dell will send someone out to fix it if its under warranty or for a small fee if not. hope this helps

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

I can't remember my password to my laptop.

I'm not sure about the whole password then but here is what I would do.

1. Remove the HDD from the laptop and connect it to your PC or a friends PC. Now the HDD might either be SATA or IDE so just find a adapter that will turn it into USB.

Something like this is perfect! and only $22 and will connect ANY SATA or IDE device to your computer via USB

2. Copy any information you might want to keep such as Documents, Music Files, images, Etc.

3. Reinstall Windows and the problem should be gone.

4. Copy back all the information.

Laptop connect to public wireless network, but not internet

Sometimes they set the wireless to be unsecured. But you have to pay to use them.
Please check with the hotel staff about setting it to use.
If its completely free, double click the network icon on the task bar, click support tab and click repair.

Wireless in hotels.

Most hotels provide a service using different providers. Check with the hotel your staying at. It will work in the US and Canada.
