Question about Dell Latitude C610 Notebook
Took laptop to hotel last weekend -clicked on something (can't remember what)to get it to work there-now cant get it to work wirelessly at home-will work with ether wire-netopia pc card wont work-went to device manager and network adapter to enable pc card and it says cannot start-error 10-I have AT&T 2 wire wireless unit-it did work wirelessly at home before going to hotel -theres no green light in pc card-no connection-what am I doing wrong?
Sounds as though theres no power getting to the card if theres no light on it - the dell 6XX series has a weakness in the PCMCIA connector too - it can easily flex and seperate from the socket on the motherboard over time and especially in transit. I wouldnt suggest trying to fix it yourself but dell will send someone out to fix it if its under warranty or for a small fee if not. hope this helps
