My D60 will take a picture and then there is a long delay before the image loads on the LCD screen. Any suggestions on how to fix?

Look for "Noise Reduction" and "Active D-Lighting". Turn those to off individually and you'll see which one makes the most difference. Turn both off and you'll be able to shoot like mad. See page 55 and 178 of D60 owners manual to turn on and off. TC

How do I activate the wireless remote for the nikon d60?

Set the D60's shooting mode to one of the two remote modes. Quick-response remote takes a picture as soon as you push the button on the remote. Delayed-response remote waits two seconds so you can hide the remote behind your back.

I have the nikon d60, is there a setting that i can set up consectutive pictures taking while not manually holding it so I can get in the picture? I know I can do that for one picture but would like to...

i have a canon that can do that and i have the nikon d80 which cannot do it. if i were you i would get the remote off ebay. you can find them for as cheap as like $3. i got one for my d80. i still set the timer for like 5 seconds or something so i can put the remote in my pocket real quick or just move my arm back or something like that. having the remote comes in handym well worth the couple bucks you spend on it

My Nikon D60 freezes or more accurately 'thinks - as the yellow light lights up' for more than 3 seconds after a photo is taken. I was just wondering is this anything to do with my shutter? and are there...

Hello,

This is probably not the shutter as the light shows it is writing to the card so it must have already taken the photograph.

The active D-lighting feature slows the camera down, also writing RAW files and noise reduction.

When you have saved the photos you want format the card a few times in case this has an error.

Hope this helps.

How do I stop my Nikon D60 from highlighting white spots?

When you are in the playback mode, press the up or down arrow on the back dial until the screen scrolls through the various overlays until you get to the screen you want...usually the screen with the frame numbers on it. If this helps, please rate accordingly, thanks.

New Nikon D60 switching itself off...

Go into the menu and scroll to "reset"...follow the on-screen instructions. If that doesn't work, you need to take the new Nikon back.

D60 won't turn on

Nikon told me to remove battery, remove SD card, remove lens and then hold the shutter button down for 30 seconds. If the Also sometimes the contact between the lens and body is not quite perfect and removing and replacing the lens hleps. If not it has a 1 year warranty, return to them with the exact error message (even if the problem is just intermittant) and they can usually find and fix the problem if the above things do not do the trick.
