I just recentley purchased a bamboo fun and after a day it somehow worked as in mouse mode. i never changed it into mouse mode but yet it still is in it. i tried re setting the settings to default and tried putting it into mouse mode and back. but nothing works.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: bamboo fun pen feels ridged
I've done what was described in here and glued the magnet back on the pen tip but it doesnt function the same anymore. Anyway thanks for the tips.

You probably dropped the pen - there is a very fragile ferrite core in the tip and when it breaks it behaves just as you describe. I have posted a description of the repair procedure (adapted from a description for other pens that I had found on the web) on my blog:
It takes a bit of patience and skill but you can do it.
I am pretty sure that this kind of "surgery" would void any warranty - on the other hand, if this is indeed your problem they will say you abused the pen (by dropping it) and charge you for the new one anyway.

I think you dropped the pen on its tip and broke the little ferrite sensing core. You can try to repair it by gluing the core back together - it worked for me. For detailed instructions on how to do it, go here:
or you can try to swap the core for the eraser and the tip (more involved - you would need to be very good with a soldering iron to attempt this). Either way - it's unfortunate that the pen is so fragile and that the user manual doesn't really warn you of this.

I had the same problem when I got my laptop (Vista OS). The solution is to update the new driver for your bamboo. They are out of date so you need to go here: http://www.wacom.com/downloads/driver-detail.php?id=196 Updated @ Apr. 9, 2009
This update should allow Vista to find it.
