You need to check on the charging current to confirm that the alternator charge is good. Also if the rectifier/regulator is working and in order.please check the link below;

It sounds like the Altenator. If the bench test was done properly and it ism good then some thing is wrong between the Alt. and the battery. A simple test is to start the car and disconnect the Neg. battery cable if the car keeps running your charging system is good.This probably means you have a draw on your battery with the car off. If it dies power is not getting from the Alt. to the electrical system check all the wires. I have had charging systems checked before and knew that they were not doing it right and had to ask for someone else to do the test over. If you don,t know about these things your self then maybe a trip to the dealer. You will pay more but you know the test will be done right. Good luck.

System not charging-replaced altenator, ran all electrical testings, checked wirings, even had altenator benched tested everything is coming back as working at normal ranges, but my system will not charge...

check to see if the alt. is actually grounding to the engine and battery, run the vehicle and check voltage at battery, should be 14.5 volts or so if not run a ground from alternator to battery, then run a live

Bat good, alt good, starter good. will start when jumped and will stay running but when shut off it wont start again untill you njunp it off again.

Altenator good? Did you bother to check the diode in the altenator? If its blown it will not let the voltage regulator charge the battery. The only way to check this on the engine is to have it running. Take a volt meter and check the voltage while running. If 13.5 volts shows it may seem to be charging the battery right? Maybe not. That the probes from the volt meter and invert the probes from red to the negative battery terminal and the black probe and connect it to the positive terminal. While running if the same voltage shows the diode is bad. The diode prevents the current running in reverse. If running both ways no charge is getting to the battery

Charge system problem altenator tests good new battery not getting a charg from alt?

The alternator has a lead wire to the battery. This wire may need replacing . You can replace it with Zero Gauge wire.

1995 Jeep wrangler not charging properly

lf you have replacement cable ends on your battery, check that wires are not corroded under the straps. Also check alternator ground (run a ground wire directly to the alt case) I have seen "lazy" regulators at times but this is very rare. Also make sure drivebelt is tight enough to prevent slipping. Has your battery been charged and load tested?

Elec problem between alternator and battery

Rest at ease the 14 volts will not hurt your system idealy your alt will charge at around 14 to 14,5 volts at the alternator and probably have a slightly lower charge rate at your battery at around 14 to 13.5 at the battery this is completely normal
