Question about HP OfficeJet Pro k550 Printer
I have tried to unplugging the printer from the power for several minutes and have resecured every panel but the yellow light will not turn off. In fact, the printer makes no sound at all and of course it will not print.
Cartridge out of ink wont print K550. I reinserted the cartridge unplugged the power, it ran through cycles then it ran 1 paper blank then ran OK. Worked for me. Out of ink worked OK still but still shows out off ink but works mult. prints too fine. I refill my cartridges.

If the printer is connected to your computer - check to see if there is a blinking Red exclamation point / printer icon in the system tray. Sometimes mousing over this icon to see the tooltip is the only way to figure out what error message the printer is trying to tell you.
For us - when this happens, the printer is complaining about an "incompatible" ink cartridge - even though 99% of the time it will print from that cartridge without problems. So try removing and re-inserting all of your ink cartridges too.
