Question about Sony VAIO VGN-FJ270/B Notebook
VAIO Model PCG-7A2L.
If it is getting very hot and then turning off , it is most likely overheating....When the computer gets too hot it shuts itself off automatically. Here is what I recommend:
Get a can of compressed air or a small computer vacuum and remove the dust from the fan that is visible on the bottom of the computer. Also be sure to notice if that fan is properly running. If it is not running at all, you definitly want to get that replaced! After cleaning it out , try and run it again, if it is still shutting down , take it to a computer shop.
It could be something simple such as a dead fan or some large dust build up, but if you have never taken a laptop apart , you don't want to mess with it!
