Icemaker lever The icemaker lever fell out; how do I re-install it? Should be easy once I see a diagram or know where the installation holes are.

Actually, I didn't even have to remove the ice maker; a mirror enabled me to see the orientation of the forward slot and once I inserted the lever correctly, the job was done.

Unplug the ice maker, remove the 3 screws that hold it to the wall, you will see 2 holes one on each end top inside icemaker ,and the lever just kind of slipes into place, put one end in at a time, test it make sure it clicks when you pull up on it and down on it,reinstall ,let me know how you do-mike

Ice maker shutoff bar fell off

This arm is called a "bale". There should be a small, round opening on the backside of the front of the ice maker. Use a mirror to look behind the square control box of the icemaker and you should see the opening. It is impossible to see it from the front when the icemaker is installed in the unit.

Is there a shut off valve on the ice maker?

There should be a shut off valve at the beginning of the water line that the installer tapped into when installing your icemaker. Mine runs down through my kitchen floor into my laundry room and is tapped into a copper cold waterline with a small handle attached to it.

To stop icemaker from making ice simply raise the lever to the up position that is attached and hangs next to your icemaker tray. This works on most models.

"space compact icemaker" cover fell off. How to put it back?

To replace this part, locate the two holes at the front of the top base of the ice maker, going up into the freezer ceiling. Place the two half-round 'pegs' at the top of the missing cover (above the vent holes) into these holes, then press the cover back into place. The peg protruding from the back of the piece should go into the hole in the ice maker housing, and the prongs will catch on the ice maker when you snap it into place by brute force. I wasn't strong enough to push it back on with one hand, but a stronger person did it in seconds once I explained how it should fit.

the fuse for the i/m is actually in the wiring harness that plugs into the icemaker. if the model is correct the icemaker goes across the back of the freezer. when you installed the icemaker on one of the wires (i think red wire) there is a black "pill" looking thing. this is the fuse.

Icemaker lever fell out

I was able to re-install the lever with the help of a mirror after I removed the sliding basket that contained the ice collector.. The mirror enabled me to see the configuration of the slotted hole where the near end of the lever had to be inserted. The job took about 2 minutes.

Ice tray overflow

Sorry for taking so long to answer.  The icemaker needs to be removed from it's mount to install the updated tray.  There should be only one screw on the front of the bracket supporting the icemaker.  Once the screw is removed, slide the entire icemaker assembly forward and drop it down.  This will expose the wire harness connection.  Disconnect the plug from the connector and take the icemaker out to work on it.  You need to remove the motor part of the icemaker from the bracket to replace the tray.  Carefully push the bracket up as you push the motor box down and slide foward to separate the two.  It looks impossible but it actually does come apart easily.  Once the box is separated, the tray can be replaced.  Reverse the process to assemble.  Good luck.

GE refrigerator wiring diagram

Icemaker must be at 28 degrees to make ice. The harness supplying the power should have 120 volts there at all times, and the icemaker itself is the device that switches the power off and on once all requirements are met. Your diagram for the fridge is on the rear service panel, or in a packet on the insisde rear..accordianman
