Question about Dell Dimension 5150 (DIM515MIN) PC Desktop
I'm gonna venture to guess you are running XP home or media center. There are utilities readily avaialble that can help you reset your password. I use this one and it will work on all flavors of Windows including 2000, xp and vista.
I use the one you can find here and though the version i have does not advertise it, i have used it on Vista with success. It may be a bit compicated if you don't understand the lingo. I would suggest this be a good time to make up with that geek you mistreated in school and get him/her to come over and help with it.
If you are that geek, then you should have no issue with this.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

If you have forgotten your password if you have another user account with administrative privileges you can log into that account and change your original user accounts password from the User Accounts applet in Control Panel.
If you dont have another account like this set up or dont have the password to it you will need to log into the built-in Administrator account.
In XP Home boot the computer into Safe Mode.
Do this by repeatedly tapping the F8 key as the computer is starting up.
This will get you to the right menu
Navigate using your Up arrow key the mouse will not work here
Once in Safe Mode you will see the normally hidden Administrator account
The default password is a blank
In XP Pro you do not need to go into Safe Mode
At the Welcome Screen do Ctrl-Alt-Del twice to get the classic Windows logon box.
Type in "Administrator" and whatever password you assigned when you set up Windows.
If you reset the built-in Administrator accounts password in Home or have Pro and dont remember the password there are ways to change the password for that account to a blank
hope this helps
