I've got the same problem, eroor message comes up when I want to close the window (www.playok.com). Tried updating Java, no help at all with the problam and to make matters worse my mouse and keyboard keep locking/freezing up since i've had this problem, they lock for about 30 seconds then they're ok until you don't use them for a minute or so. Running Vista Home 64bit, IE7, also having the same problem on firefox and safari. Mouse and keyboard are wireless entertainment pack 7000, been running all this for nearly 8 months without a hitch, then had a problem with IE7 shutting down all the time, moved across to firefox had the same problem, lived with that for a while but got fed up with it, went to reinstall IE7 and spotted IE8.... Like a prat downloaded this, thinking newer is better! Needed to reload Java to work with this and had problems ever since and on top of all that IE still keeps closing for no reason.

This sounds like it could be a case where a simple error in the game is allowed to have enormous consequences. Rather than disconnecting your Internet connection, it may suffice to terminate the java process as follows:

  • Right-click the task bar. Click Task Manager.
  • In the Processes tab of the Task Manager, find java.exe (it might help to click on "Image Name" to have it sort alphabetically)
  • Select the line with the image name of java.exe and click the "End Process" button in the lower right corner of the window.

Have you tried running these games in a different browser? I recommend Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome. Both are more robust than AOL Explorer, and Google Chrome in particular is designed so that an error in one tab won't cause any problems beyond that.

Please let me know if this helped. If it didn't, feel free to provide more details.

Regarding Google Chrome: it uses a different cache than AOL Explorer, so it would probably take a long time the first time to download any particular game, but after that it ought to load fairly quickly. The same would be true of Firefox.

Uncaught java.null. exception every time mention after I reboot my bold 9700

Can you use the BlackBerry, or is it locked up? It sounds like an application error -- did you just download or install a new application or game? If so, uninstall it and see if the error message goes away.

You can also try clearing your Java cache and all temporary files to see if that clears it up. Have you tried a battery pull?

Java.lang.NullPointerException

I believe the error should read "java.lang.NullPointerException"

This error simply means that whatever your application code is trying to get is not there- its a null. Its either out of range or does not exist at all.
