I haven't used my printer for a few weeks and I tried printing something today. I know there are procedures for cleaning the printer heads, but where would I find that procedure?

Most ink jet printers have a simple user procedure for cleaning the print heads. You may have to clean them periodically or after the printer has been idle for a few days or weeks. If you see funny colors or print-outs are missing colors, a cartridge may be empty or a head dirty. You may have to clean a head many times to get it working again.

How can I clean a dirty printer? The print

Generally, printers have a tool box in all programs under your printers folder. You can run maintenance from there. You can clean the printer with a cloth and some alcohol. Not know what printer you have, I cannot give you specific instructions.

BTW what printer do you have?

Printer head removal

Hi Kenno23 - have you tried a standard head cleaning cycle and nozzle check? If so,what was the result. If not, try it. If you don't know how to, simply right-click the printer icon in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen, and select "Head Clean". After this has finished select "Nozzle Check". Let me know how you get on, or if you've tried all this with no success, let me know exactly what you have tried.
