Question about Epson TM-L60II Thermal Printer

Paper feed to far for labels

Hi,
I print labels in texet mode on TM-L60II,ending each lable with FF and the last label with GS FF. This causes the priter to eject 1 blank label after all the printed labels. As i understand it, if the paper feed button is pressed, it should reverse-feed the extra label back to printing position?
It does not do it?
Any ideas?

Yes the TM-L60IIP has dip SW 1.7 = ON switch to select "Thermal Paper". That I have done. The labels come with holes punched on left side indicating start of lbel. The labels I use is on spec. 54mm vertical between punched holes.Label size 49x56 (HxW)

    Hi,
No, the labels are moving freely. Every thing prints fine. It is just that we lose a label after every label run. The application is for a Pharmacy and they lose a lot of labels this way.
    The code is like:
    Open "LPT1" #1

    Print #1, ESC "@"; ' Reset printer
'TM-L60II should be in Standard mode, 1/6 lines/inch
    for j=1 to All_labels-1
    Print#1, String_Label$;chr$(10);
print#1,ESC Chr$(12);' Print and move to next label
    next
    print#1, String_LastLabel$;chr$(10);
    print#1,Chr$(29);chr$(12);'Print and eject label

    Thanks,
    I got the problem!
The last line on the label was to many lines and althouhg ESC;FF did not fix it just using FF trashed the data moving to the next label.
After using one less line, every thing came right.

    The other information was helpful.
    Thank you.

You should adjust the shutter as well to the size of the paper. Another thing is you can manually select the paper type under the printer settings. Go to Printers and Faxes > Properties of your default printer and manually select the paper type.

you need to calibrate. hold the feed button down intill it flashes 4 times in a row and the quickly let go. it will feed some labels to calibrate and should stop at the tear off. you also have to set label size in the driver to keep from losing calibration.

When trying to print Avery Labels L7160 the top few labels print within each label 'frame' BUT towards the end of the page the labels are printed further up and therefore are out of the label 'frames' ALSO...

For Word 2007/Word 2010
1- Click on the Office button
2- Select Print then Print again.
3- In the Zoom section make sure 'Scale to paper size' is set to 'A4'
4- Click on the Properties button.
5- Click on the Paper / Quality tab, then click on Advanced.
6- In the Paper/ Output section it has Paper size. To the right you have a drop down menu . Make sure A4 is selected and not letter, then click on OK.

3- There may also be other options in your printing preferences such as 'Print Area', 'Scale to Fit Page Size' or 'Page Margins. These will all need to be set correctly for your design to print 100% e.g. Print Area set to Maximum, Scale to fit Page Size disabled and Page Margins set to Minimized.

Some printers ( for example Epson printers ) have a 'Reduce /Enlarge' facility that defaults to 94% or 97% (instead of 100%). To set this to 100% click the 'Layout' tab and in the 'Reduce/Enlarge' section select 'Custom' you should then be able to change the scaling to 100%.

Printing in page mode feeds extra blanc labels

Make sure,
you firmware is right one for that printer because in most of cases it happens due to wrong firmware and bad ADF kits. so check your ADF kids and if you find them fine the install updated firmware on in.
And put job seperator option always as disabled2168eac.gif
once you done with these all then turn your printer off and turn it back on.

post back if any thing changes and rate all answers.

Good luck

Printing Labels

The MPF is simply the "Manual Paper Feed".
Your printer is set by default that the MPF paper type is "plain paper". Since you are telling the printer that you are trying to print lables, the printer is simply telling you that you need to load the MPF with lables.

If you say "ok", the printer sould continue and print the lables.

If you only print lables, the you can change the default paper for the MPF tray to "lables", and then you will no longer be prompted to load the tray.

CONTINOUS FEED

Use a DYMO Label/Writer Cleaning Card #60622. One should have come with your printer. Just remove the labels, run this cleaning pad through a few times, insert the labels, and print.

Will not print on all four lables, and does not print in the same place each time.

for starters you need to calibrate your printer.

Note: If printing in Direct Thermal Mode, default the printer first (4 flashes).

1. Load the labels and ribbon (if used) and close the printer
2. Turn on the printer power.
3. Allow the printer to feed or error out.
4. Press and hold the feed button until the green status LED flashes once, then twice. Release the feed button.
6. The printer will set the media sensor for the label backing being used and then automatically feed until a label is positioned at the printhead.
7. A profile of the media sensor settings (similar to the example in Figure 1) will print. Upon completion, the printer will save the new settings in memory and the printer is ready for normal operation.
8. Press the feed button. One entire blank label will feed. If this does not happen, try defaulting (Hold the FEED button until it flashes 4 times)

Label not advancing to tear-off perforation

Try this to have the printer auto-sense the size of the labels:
1. Make sure that printer power is off.
2. Press and hold the feed button.
3. Turn printer power on.
4. When the status light blinks, release
the feed button.
5. The printer advances the media to
measure and verify the length of
individual labels or tags. The printer
then prints a status summary and
remains in diagnostic dump mode.
6. To begin normal operation, tap the
feed button. The printer prints "out of
DUMP" and advances a label.

Labels will not auto feed

Have you gone into your print driver and changes the settings there?
I am not sure with your inormation if you have changed the settings on the printer or in the driver.
What it sounds like is happening is that there is a mismatch between the printer and computer.
It may even be set so that it is looking for lables in a bypass tray.
Somewhere there is a mismatch in information as to where the labels are loaded.
Start at the driver properties page and confirm every step in your setup.
