You can spray them off with a hose and use a degreaser if they are real dirty

Can you tell me what nozzle and filters I need to clean my furnace?

Replace filter with same size currently used (unless filter doesn't fit ) , and use a pleated style filter of the cheaper type . There mar be a wall or ceiling mounted filter on return air vent or a filter inside front of heater .

There is what appears to be "steam" blowing from my airconditioner into my room. What should I do?

Due to high humidity and perhaps, an air intake filter that needs to be removed and cleaned. That "steam" is actually a misty fog and is harmless. Window & Thru the Wall AC units often do this when the outside humidity and temperatures are high. Keeping the air intake filter clean will help to lessen this mist.

Hope this helped to allay your concern. Thanks fo choosing FixYa.

The unit ices up after an hour or so and then water runs down the wall and not into the drip tray

Two issues are possible.
First of all check for dirt accumulation that is blocking the water to drip but is diverting to the front panel section to flow into the wall.
Secondly the A/C must be mounted with a slight tilt thereby making the water condensation to flow/drop into the tray. If not you can remove and make a small wedge on the mounting to tilt.
Also use a good air jet or a water jet( if taken out) to clean the coils.

How to remove the front panel holding the air louvers...

We have a FAC127P1A and if you gently pull the lower cover by holding each side where there is an indentation it will lower so you can get to the filter. Then either replace or wash the filter. We have another model, FAA087P7A1, and we were able to pull the cover down and lift up slightly and remove the cover and wash to remove the collection of dust, etc.

On this latter model there is a collection of dust, etc. in the area where the cooling is blown into the room that I would like to know how to remove for cleaning. I feel it is unhealthy the way it is now and would like to clean it before removing for the season. I know I could use q-tips or a small piece of cloth to clean but that is pain staking.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

MY AC SHUTS OFF AND CODE E1 COMES UP

This is a reminder to clean the air filter. It happens every 720 hours of operation. Here are the steps to get it back up and running:1. Power down the air conditioner using the "power" button on the front panel.2. Unplug the air conditioner from the wall socket.3. Hold the front panel "power" button down and plug the airconditioner in. Continue to hold the power button down as the machine goes through a brief test sequence (fan & compressor each come on briefly, etc). There is a "beep" sound at the end of the test sequence, and the machine will be off. At this point, you can release the power button.4. Unplug the air conditioner.5. Plug the air conditioner back in.6. Congratulations! You should now be able to operate the airconditioner normally for another 720 hours, but only if you followed the instructions above EXACTLY.

Panasonic air con unit is not blowing cold air out.

This unit is use in motels etc. Check the ouside coil ( conderser) from the inside (discharge fan ) for dirt. Most of these units are floor level . This can cause a unit to short cycle ( cold air is at the floor) .

My indoor unit airconditioner located in my basement

Hi, all a/c's produce water as condensation. Portables have a hose connector near the base. Wall mounted have a permanent hose that allows water to vent out. This pipe can get blocked by dust and fluff usually at the elbow joint. Try useing a small drain cleaning wire or extract all the water out ( i use a big syringe ) and put half a cup full of kettle boiled water in, or a drain cleaner. be sure to flush out well. Good luck. steve, UK
