Question about LG RU-52SZ51D 52" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television
We have an DLP Projection TV from LG Model RT44SZ21RB.
I replaced the lamp about 2 months ago and now suddenly a 3 CM brouwn/green vertical bar has appeared on the LH side of the screen.
It is kind of transparent but not clear.
Is there anyone who also experienced this and can suggest a way to fix.
I do not want to spent too much bringing it to a electrician since I am not completely happy with the TV nor with the LG support ( no LG for me )
The excessive heat from your lamp has burned one or 2 polarizing lenses.
To replace this you have to pull the optic engine out of the unit and dismantle it.
You will see 3 square lenses in there, remove one by one until you find the burned one.
Then go to ebay and type in hoya polarizing lense.
Buy the 72mm one and cut it to size.
hope this helps.
