Bought a replacement control board for frididaire oven but it doesn't hook up with power strip but it looks like I can jump it but how

Hello friend, thank you for your post!
From my understanding you have a replacement control board for your Frigidaire range and the power strip doesn't hook up properly so you would like to jump it over. I would not recommend doing so because you would be unsure what kind of electrical miscommunication that could cause. The part you have ordered maybe incorrect. If you can provide me with your model number I can double check your parts manual. You can locate your model number on the door frame of the lower drawer. I look forward to assisting you. -Matt

Eurolec oven will ignite but not remain on

Hi,

Depending on the exact model number and features of your Eurolec oven, this could indicate a number of things:
  • no supply of gas (for gas model), or the electrical power is not reaching the heating elements;
  • the heating elements are defective;
  • the controlling system/mechanism is faulty;
  • there is an "unknown" fault internally and the system is not allowing any further action to prevent untoward incidents or aggravate the condition;
  • if it is completely electric powered, try to see if there is a reset button at the back/rear of the unit.
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back on the exact model number, how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

I need help with my electric stove wanna clean and take top off but can't figure out if I can or not and don't even know what kind it is to look it up I found its serial number / model but can't figure out...

Unplug the stove. Once this is done, you can disconnect the View all achievements Ā»elements by unplugging them from their connector. You can then lift up the top to clean underneath and around. This is a GE stove, and the data plate will provide the model and serial number. They are normally located on the back or on a easy accessible location like near the over door.

If you need a user manual, try Googling the user name and model number and the word manual.

Always do this type of work with the stove unplugged to prevent electrical shocks or possible burns.

My oven smells wen cooker gets warm

What kind of smell? is is like an electrical smell similar to a burnt motor or transformer or electrical wiring or the smell of burning food. If it is a food smell, cleaning the cooker might resolve it. How old is the unit?

Electrical cord

Power cords for Ranges and Dryers are not included with the appliance. You will have to note what type of plug receptacle you will be plugging into to ensure the cord you purchase will match the receptacle. All major home improvement centers carry all the standard cordsets.
