    What program are you using for your email?

I cannot send email

I have windows 7 - internet exployer I have not been able to send email for about a week.


Hello there.

Not able to send email? so i presume you have Internet? Cause if not thats the main problem. And If you do have Internet Connection, open your web browser (Iexplorer or Mozilla) Go to File (located at upper left of your screen) then Look for "Work offline"

If that one has a check mark, you should uncheck it so that you'l have your connection back. (remove the check mark) Then try to browse.

I am connected to the internet but my emails can not connect. Yahoo aol any emails.


Are you trying to check mails from the website, if yes then it should work if the internet is working. If you are using any email client like outlook or outlook express then check for the settings- incoming, outgoing server etc.

What Email are you using??
If you are doing internet based web mail,(you have to log into a website to see it) you are loosing your connection intermittently. Other browsing of the web could run without caring about the crop. If you are using pc based email that uses the internet to send you still might have an intermittent connection. Your program definitely thinks it is talking to a server and the connection is dropping. If this is totally on your PC and you have only one drive you would have other problems if the drive were failing.

Emachine sends & receives email, cannot connect to Interner


My Network Places, right click, Properties
LAN or High Speed Connection should say "connected"
Right click, Properties, General Tab opens.
Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) box should be checked
Highlight Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and click Properties button
Obtain an IP address Automatically Bullet should be checked

I cannot get my windows mail working.


To get your windows mail for VISTA or XP working make sure you have correct setting from you internet provider like the POP3 and SMTP address. Call your internet provider tech support to ask for this info should be free. Enter your email account username and password where ever Windows Mail or outlook will ask for it.

PS. Make sure your connected to the internet first before trying to check your email. (Only if your on a ADSL connection)

My windows vista will not send or receive emails. When sending I receive Error 0X800CCC0F Wher nreciving I recive Error 797, Modem not found.


If you don't have a modem on your machine, you must have another way to connect to the Internet, an ethernet card, or a wireless card.

If you are connected to the Internet this way, you should change the configuration on your email account to use the connection, instead of dialing via a telephone line.

If you're uncertain what to do next, tell me the email program you are using (Windows Mail, Outlook, Thunderbird...), and how you connect to the internet, and I'll try to give you additional details.

I have comcast and my email won't send dial up pops up


I'm guessing that you computer is configured for a dail-up connection when you want to establish a dsl/cable connection?

Try to configure your email program, (Outlook Express?), with comcast, their is usually information your provider must give to you to set up your email.

If you haven't any internet connection through comcast at all, try going to Control Panel > Network and Internet Connections > Network Set-Up Wizard, then follow the on-screen instructions, selecting that you have a connection that is on at all times.
