Question about Microsoft Xbox 360 Console
Okay. i have two computers and an xbox 360 on my dlink dl-604 router. so my xbox does connect fine and it shares media with my other computer. (xp home) but my xp pro computer doesnt seem to be showing up in my xbox dashboard. now all my firewalls have been checked over. but ive come to think the upnp directory services in my windows has not been installed but yet ive ressearched and the xbox doesnt even run off these? says wikipedia. now my xbox was seeing my computer that i want to be sharing media with last week. but recently not. with the xbox live down i figured id focus on my home routing today.
Your settings on your PC may not be set to allow sharing to your 360. The way I do it, is I download windows media player 11, imported my itunes library and my movies I had on my PC and allowed sharing via media player. These steps can be seen in more detail by going to www.xbox.com/pcsetup
