Normally a battery icon on a display indicates that the battery power is too low to operate the device. If the device uses disposable batteries, it's time to replace them with fresh ones. If it uses rechargeable batteries, recharge them. If recharging the batteries fails to work, they may have reached their useful lifetime and need to be replaced as well. If the unit has a internal battery that is chargeable, and charging fails to work, you may need to have the unit serviced to replace the internal battery(ies) or just get a new unit, depending on the cost-effectiveness of repairs.

When i turn on my naxa mp3 player all i get is a hourglass that is not moving. it does nothing at all. i've tried plugging it in to my pc to reboot and it still does nothing.

NAXA NX-145 mp3 player When I insert a battery it is "starting ..." (booting), but it never end. This message last on display for several hours, actually until battery is dead. When I replace new battery and it starts again, ... and again ... again ... again. It cannot start, to the normal menu that is possible to listen music or radio or to do something. Never did. Please explain to me, how to solve this problem?

My delstar mp3 player model DS3512

If it only gets as far as starting, the unit’s firmware is corrupt.
Firmware updates are not usually recommended.
I’d contact Delstar for the correct firmware.

Screen displays glass timer.

if the screen has a moving animated glass then you have power and its just not starting or reading or w/e so just let the battery go all the way down then try to charge again.
if its just a stuck picture then try to plug it into computer or wall/car charger and see if it helps.

if not just let it sit for a day and come back to it.

Starting displayed won't do anything

Look for a lock or hold switch on the player. Most players have one of these to stop you accidentally switching it on or off when you're not using it.

Let me know how you get on!
