Question about PC Desktops

1 Answer

My ventrilo works fine for World of warcraft right, but when i start up Warhammer, my vent only allows me to hear people in the channel, yet i cant respond to them. My mic is set on a key trigger to activate, and in-game i cant hear the sound that notifies me when my mic is live. When i exit to windows quickly, it works as normal, only in the game does it not allow me to use my mic. Ive tried deleting it and reloading vent, and that didnt work. Ive tried assigning different keys to trigger my mic, ones that dont correspond with in game actions, still no luck. I cant stand gaming without communications, pls help.

your computer simply may not be able to play world of warcraft anymore. you may need to splurge and buy a more game-intensive computer, or upgrade the video card. good brands to look for are anything ati and nvidia.

I play world of warcraft and it wont let me play

In your World of Warcraft directory you have a cfg folder and in it a cfg file. This has all your video settings. You will need to optimize these settings for your display type. Start off in a very low resolution with all your effects disabled. Set any sound effects to 0 as well. Now start the game and go into options. Set the rendering range low and disable other options as you can.

Turn them on a few at a time until slowly until you find what is tripping up your video card.

I can't hear others on Vent, but they can hear me.

I don't think the program is compatible with Vista. Were you running Vista when it worked a year ago ?

It is lagging for certain games like World of Warcraft. I checked bios, and in only allow for 8 mb of the CPU to go to it. How do I allow more ram to be used?

It configures the system memory allocation reserved for the integrated video controller. Settings are 1MB and 8MB. The most effective solution is disable onboard video and put any Radeon 8 series with 256 or 512 MB RAM, they are cheap now and WOW will be fine, I confirm because use the Radeon 8600 512 MB card. Your computer has PCI Express slot and any Radeon fits perfectly onto it. Good luck!

I have a game called world of warcraft when i put the disc in nothing happens you need 20g and i have 37g wats the problem.

Go to "my computer"
In there you will see an icon at the cd-rom drive for WOW.
(WOW = World of Warcraft)
Double click on that Icon
This will start the installer.
If you do not see an icon take out the CD and clean the drive and look at the CD or significant scratches. Little ones are okay.
