Could be you have a faulty processor on your system or for some reason is failing when an operation was forwarded for the processor to execute and it failed to do it.

1. check your processor fans
2. if you were overclocking go into your bios/cmos program and set everything back.

This is indicating a major error in your operating system - let the OS repair itself if possible. In a worst case scenario, try reinstalling the OS over your original installation to save your current settings.

How do i find out the manufacturer of my coprocessor, raid controller, and my sm bus controller on my desktop running windows vista

Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>System Information

Why do you need to know the manufacturer of these devices?
Error code 28 means the drivers are missing. A hard reboot could fix it. A virus scan could fix it (use malwarebytes free version).
Your bigger problem is Windows Vista: one of the worst operating systems ever put to market. I would suggest backing up all of your data, then do a clean install of Windows 7.

My win xp has a coprocessor error can you kindly tell how to fix it my problem includes a bus controller error

Hi

Assuming you have not tried to overclock your processor, it would seem as if this is a BIOS or Motherboard Chipset Driver conflict or corruption.

Try first to clear the BIOS.

To enter BIOS (check bottom of POST screen for the correct key to enter SETUP), when in SETUP, select correct key for Reset to Default Values, then press F10, then press enter.

If resetting BIOS does not fix the problem, reinstall the Motherboard Chipset Drivers and then restart the computer.

If you did try to overclock the computer, then enter the BIOS and reset BIOS to default values, then save changes and restart computer.

Hope this helps.

How to fix my computer i installed windows 7 but there is a problem, the coprocessor is not installed

Hello,

If you are using an upgrade version of Win 7, you must have Vista currently on your pc. If you have XP you will need the full version of Win or you will get all kinds of errors.

Good Luck

Coprocessor driver for windows 7

Hi,

Try letting Windows update detect and install the coprocessor driver for you.
You may have to perform the Windows update a couple of times before the device is detected.

When you start windows update it will give you a list of software and drivers that are available, you will in the list that there are optional updates available. Check there to see if the coprocessor driver is there and install everything except for the language packs.

Hopefully this will resolve the problem for you.

Good luck.

What is the coprocessor driver and how do I get it? I installed windows 7 on my new pc and I'm getting this issue....

Sounds like when you installed Windows 7, you need to update your driver for your Intel Core 2 Quad processor. You can get this from the Intel website.

To answer the first question: A coprocessor is an additional processor that works with the main processing unit to carry out a specific function. The two most common coprocessors are the math coprocessor, used to speed up calculations, and the graphic coprocessor, used to improve the handling of graphics.
