My dell xps one keybooard is not working

first, uninstall it completely. Change your batteries. Turn off your computer. Boot up, log on as administrator. Install the software for the keyboard, now plug it in and the add new hardware wizard should see it. If that doesn't work take it back to the place of purchase for an exchange. It is a hardware issue at that point.

Key pad doe not work

This means the number lock is on - in the upper right hand corner of the keyboard is a series of 4 keys.  Far right is delete, then (from the right) insert, Prnt Scrn, and Num Lk.  Hit the Num Lk key, and the number 9 with the padlock should shut off.  Your keyboard should now work normally.
Any more problems, let me know!

KEYBOARD NUMBERS

There should be a button called "numlock" which will enable to you use the keypad to the right of the keyboard, however, you don't need to "lock" the keyboard to use the numbers on the top row.

One of my letter keys is not working!!!!

you may have to disassemible the keyboard and cleaned the leads or switchs, or contacts with some alcohal and non lent cloth.

re-assemible the keyboard and spray a can of compressed air threw the keypad to remove any type of mterail that may stop the key from making any contact with the contact switch.

you will have to do both of these steps to rule out a bad key and have to replace the whole keyboard.

there is a company that sells labtop service manuals for repairing and fixing and assemible and dis assemible os any type of labtop you could every think of and the web site is called:

XPS One Keyboard's Characters not functioning

Try to re-sync the keyboard to the computer. Here’s the procedure:
1) Turn the computer on.
2) Turn on the keyboard
3) Press the sync button on the rear of your computer’s left speaker.
4) Press the sync button on the keyboard. ( I believe it’s on the bottom of keyboard)

The sync button has a symbol next to it, (2 arrows going in clockwise direction).
Ensure that the keyboard battery has not run low.

If that doesn’t work, look for a Bluetooth icon in the lower right hand corner of your desktop and double click on it to open the Bluetooth configuration utility. See if there’s a configuration file for the keyboard. If there is, delete it and then re-detect Bluetooth devices.
Hope this helps.
