It's very common when installing Windows 7 for you to get to the Windows logo or blue windows screen and it be blank and you sometimes have to wait for anything up to 15-20mins before the installation options appear, unsure why this is but make sure you allow 30mins on that blank screen before righting it off... You also need to decide if your setting up a dual boot system if you already have XP on their, if you want to keep both then select dual boot when installing. Sorry it's not an answer but waiting 15-mins or so may give u the answer, had that happen lots of times with win7
Hi, It is not a hardware issue. It is easy to install Windows 7 in your laptop but if you want to install Windows XP you have change the Hard Disk type to IDE. For that you have to change settings in your BIOS. After changing to IDE you can continue your installation normally as you done earlier...
Maybe you can take a try of this rescue program called BootSuite. I came across similar blue screen situaiton on my HP laptop (win 7) and ended up with eliminating it. Hope it helps with your case. Regards
You cannot downgrade Windows 7 from Windows XP by not reformatting the hard drive. You need to Remove Windows 7 first, before installing Windows XP Operating System. In order to use the Windows XP CD to fully reformat the Hard drive, follow the steps on the link below.
your windows operating system is probably corrupt you cannot recover all of your files, unless you have an file recovery software. re format your disk c and put an operating system again.
heeey dude ! I had the same problem.. and I just solved out how to fix the problem !.. the only thing you have to do is: Go to your Bios, and switch from SATA to IDE, and then it will be fine :-)
if you have win xp as the operating system, take it back and ask for win 10
That is what should have been installed before purchase as win xp has not been supported by microsoft for the past 2 years and is far out dated
take it back anyway and have the computer technician sort out the problems under warranty
