Games Explorer link does not work in Windows 7 or Vista.

To open the Windows Vista games folder, you'd normally click on the Games Explorer link in the Start Menu.
You have to ensure that it appears there in the first place.
If it doesnt appear, Click Start > Rt Click > Properties > Start Menu tab > Customize > Select Games > Display as a link or Display as a menu > OK > Apply > OK
Incidentally, if you type Shell:Games in Vista's start menu search bar and hit enter, then too the games folder will open.
google_protectAndRun("ads_core.google_render_ad", google_handleError, google_render_ad); But if the Games Explorer folder does not open in your Windows Vista, here is what you may try.
Type cmd in Vista's start menu. When cmd appears as a result, rt click on it and select Run as administrator.
In the elevated command prompt, type
regsvr32.exe gameux.dll and hit Enter. This will re-register the ganeux dll file.
It should help.

Lost connection to server

If youre connected online with that game, i think the problem will most likely be on your internet connection, you can check if your internet connection is stable by pinging any website. You can try open up Windows Command Prompt if your using windows and type ping www.yahoo.com.

If youre referring to offline games and connected via network lan, you should check your LAN card if its ok by pinging your Lan address which is 127.0.0.1.

Or if your not connected on Network Lan, then you should try reinstalling the game.

In counter strike v1.6 online game i cant find servers list and in message it says no online games pass through filter settings

This is typically due to firewall settings on your machine and or router. If you are trying to play online over the internet make sure you have appropriate ports allowed through any firewalls you may have to the computer you are trying to play the game on.

I own the game Ultimate Mahjongg my computer i windows vista and I cant play my game that is my favorite I do not know too much about computers Im a senior and I love to play mygames can you help me ?...

Mahjong is probably an XP game. Right click on the game icon. the click on properties. when the window opens, you will see the tab labeled "Compatability". Click on that tab, then check mark the box that says "Run this in compatibility mode", then in the drop down box select Win XP. Click apply then OK.
Then play the game, it should work fine.

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
Thanks, Joe

Need patch for free space 2 game to play in windows vista needs to recognize I have 4 gigs of memory

is it not installing, try to browse setup.exe or install file for the game, right click and choose run as administrator..it should be installed w/o any problems,or if you were able to install this and the game just crashes upon playing it,you need to put it to compatibility mode,To do this search for freespace.exe (Probably in C:\Program Files\Volition\", right click and select the "compatibility" tab. Check the box that says "run this program in compatibility mode for" and select "Windows 98"

Problem getting netzero download to download computer says need to close i need to close explorer browser sites but none are open

Please note that I am using Windows XP so Vista may be slightly different but mostly similar.

Press Ctrl+Alt+Del and open the "Task Manager". Click "Processes" tab and check the box next to "Show processes from all users". Look for the file name of the web browser you are using and here are two common web browsers.

Microsoft Internet Explorer - iexplorer.exe (If you close explorer.exe by mistake, Windows XP users can go to "Applications", "New Task", and type in "C:/WINDOWS/explorer.exe" or Vista users can simply log out and log in through the task manager.)
Mozilla Firefox - firefox.exe

If you use a different web browser, right click the shortcut for your web browser and click "Properties". The file name will be after the last slash ( \ ) in the target box. File names usually end with ".exe".

Click the file name when you find it and click "End Process" but before you do, you are most likely viewing this with a web browser so this window (and all other windows for your web browser) will close as soon you end the proccess. This means make sure you finish what you are doing and be ready for it to close.

PROBLEM LOADING GAME

When you received the game was the box sealed? Put the CD in your cdrom. Close any windows that open. Right click once on the Start button, slide up to Explore & left click on it. Windows explorer will open. Slide down to the cdrom drive & left click on it. What ever data is on the cd will display in the right window of explorer. Look for a file named Setup.exe. Double left click on it. The game should begain to install. If you did a search online you might have been able to get it for free. This may not be the version you want but this does give you the idea of what I mean.

How to get and download wonplay.exe into my c drive

Hello PreciousPR
happy holidays
Hoyle Online can be played on Vista, but wonplay must be installed in the Public directory. Here are the basic instructions. The wonplay.exe must be installed in the C:\Users\Public\ directory of Vista. Download the wonplay.exe here, saving it to your desktop. http://hoylegames.sierra.com/won/wonplay.exe Double click to install the wonplay.exe When the box opens asking where you wish to install it to, click Browse and navigate to the C:\Users\Public\ this is where you should install Wonplay to. Once it installs, Go to the C:\Users\Public\wonplay directory, right click on Wonplay.exe and choose Run as Administrator. When you launch a game, you may have to allow permissions the first time.
