Goodmans LC3266D tv power light on but no picture or sound

sounds like one of the Inverter transformers is bad or has a solder issue

you have no back light , the invertor pcb may be faulty or worse still the screen may have failed.
This needs a service engineer to diagnose properly

If you have sound, then your tv doesn't need tuning. Shine a bright light onto the screen, can you see a very dim picture? If so, your backlight has stopped working. This is almost always due to the inverters failing and can be repaired.

has the problem been resolved, I am experiencing the same thing, guarantee is 3 weeks out of date -typical!!

Hi there! May be the Invertor board. Check for loose solder connections or loose cables. If all else fails then invertor will have to be replaced and/or Power supply. Should not be too expensive, however depends on the value of your panel. Decision lies with you. Best Wishes and Good Luck, JUS004

ya kunle bawo ni ? are u a technician? well do this .check your power moudle outputs if all are ok(no voltage drop, no fluctuation & no burst or swolling electrolytic capacitor). disconnet your backlight inverter supply from the power moudle.plug your speaker & antenal firmly. plug your tv & power on, scrol tru your channels, if sound. your backlight inverter is bad. if all still remains dead ur analog/digital converter(mianboard) is bad

50% trouble of tv is lose connection so, try to re solder it but be care of short circuit

If it is a LCD TV, and there is a faint picture, it is probably the backlight or inverter board (probably the latter). This is a common problem (especially with PC monitors).
Do an internet search for your model and inverter, you may be able to replace it.
Make SURE you REMOVE the power lead before opening the set !!!!
