Unable to load synchronization DLL

I'm using a Clie TJ25, but unable to synch with my computer; I keep getting "unable to load synchronization dll" message. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the software several times, still no luck. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
The exact msg is "Unable to load the synchonization DLL. Please click OK button on Configuration dialog."
I've uninstalled and reinstalled the software, removed the Clie cable, etc., but nothing seems to work. I had to purchase the software on EBAY, and the CD I received is a copy, so perhaps it's missing something?

This is an error I've never heard of and I have never seen a file named syncronization.dll. It sounds like the desktop is looking for another DLL file needed to start syncronizing but I don't know which one it would be, The fact the CD is a copy (always a bad idea when you're buying off ebay, BTW) would lead to me to believe there is a missing file or files on the CD. Your best bet would be to call Sony customer service and order an orginal CD. It's about $10 plus shipping but then you'll know you have the correct files.
You could also try searching your hard drive in case there is such a file since I have an older Clie. If you find it, delete it and then reinstall the Clie desktop and see if that fixes things.
