I have a Denon AVR1603, recently I plugged computer in AUX connections at rear (not loud) and it kept tripping out. Eventually it tripped and now the the on/standby light fashes but nothing else happens. I have tried resetting by holding speaker a & b whilst turning the unit on but apart from th flashing LEDs the unit still does not work.

The LED flash indicates that unit goes into protection. Check the power transistors, the 0.22 ohm or 0.47 resistors in the output of the transistors.

Try leaving the unit unplugged for half an hour.

If it does not work there may be an internal problem, like a blown component.

Unit''trips'' off shortly after powering up

Disconnect ALL of the speaker wires from the back.  Turn it on again, if it still trips, then the unit needs to be repaired.  If it does not trip with no speaker wires connected, turn it back off, connect 1 speaker at a time and turn it on, when it does trip, that speaker that you just put on has a short somewhere, it could the be the wire or in the speaker.

Denon avr-1403/483

Denon AVR-1403/483One of the speakers when connected trips the units power off.
Disconnected it and it works OK without that channel. Connected a different speaker and wire to that channel and it does the same, trips power off. It's acting like a when two wires are shorted. This is not the case as I have tried different wires and speaker. Not sure whats going on. Presently running system without that channel. Hope someone has an idea.

What to use for Audio-out on Denon AVR-2807?

Hi Karmor

Use the Tape Out(rec) connections on the Denon. If that model has a rec out selector, then be sure to select phono as well. All sweet and ready to rip them files!!
