Question about Car Audio & Video
Hi! i have read and searched everywhere. not much info on my unit itself but , i am about to do a ribbon replacement for this unit. just ordered it for $15plus 10 ship. what id like to do is get some info on removal. have any helpful advice? and also important is do u possibly know if i will need to solder? i have read/been told both yes and no. so far i have removed one side of ribbon cable(side that connects to flipdown face). looks to have an IDC socket connector which is held onto flipdown with 2 metal/bend clips. looks like the ribbon cable just sticks on(or with adhesive?) to IDC socket connector? as for the other side that goes into the unit i am not sure. from what i have read it should just slip in there somewhere, or do i have to disassemble parts of the front of main unit? well thanx in advance hope u can help!Pioneer Premier KEH-P616/ ribbon cable part # CNP4720
