I expect that somewhere down the line the camera was plugged in and the message was ignored, and told to never show this again. Assuming you are using windows you can do one of two things:
1). Click start button, computer, and look at the devices with removable storage. Hopefully your camera is there. If not we have another problem. you can then browse the camera just like any other disk with folders, find your photos and copy/cut/move them into your pictures folder.
2). We can change the settings of your computer so that it will prompt you what to do each time the camera is plugged in.
In order to do this open control panel, select classic view on the left side. Click on default programs icon, and select change auto play settings. Scrolling to the bottom should show devices connected to the computer. you can then use the pull down box beside the cameras name to set what you want to do each time it is plugged in.
Hope this helps. If I am way off base here please let me know.
I discovered a workaround for this problem...I pulled the memory card and inserted it directly into my laptop, which happened to have this type of port. It allows me to pull directly off the card. I still cannot connect via a cable, but this at least lets me get pictures loaded to my computer.
Hi Jaime, I used to have Zoombrowser and I know the setting you need to change, but please excuse me if my directions to it are not exact because I haven't used it for a while.
From memory the setting to fix this problem is in the Download Settings (or something similar to that), which you access from one of the menus in the top bar (it is in one of the drop down menus towards the right of the screen, ie, at the other end of the bar from the File menu).
In the Download Settings have a look around and you should be able to find somewhere that says "Download All", "Download New images Only" - select that you want to download news images only.
Sorry I can't be more specific as to where the setting is exactly, but it's been a while since I used Zoombrowser. The other option you have is to copy the files you want manually: Connect your camera as per normal to your computer, go to My Computer where the camera will be showing up as an external drive (eg, E or F and so on), double click this icon and browse to your image files. Then sort by Date and copy the ones you have taken since you last downloaded.
Refer to the attached pictures for instructions on viewign the movide. In order to download the movie to the camera, you need to connect the camera to the computer using a USB connector. If you have already set the computer for downloading pictures, then it is just like copying pictures from the camera to the computer. Only the movie will have a .mpg extension.
If you need more help let me know. I have a soft copy of the instruction manual that I can email to you.
Try changing the resolution and picture size on the camera. Sometimes the camera settings and computer settings just don't read each other completely. Its starts out great but ends up fuzzy. Hope this helps.
