I am using the Hannspree HF229H as my primary monitor, connected via HDMI, and an LG L1920P with a as my secondary monitor connected via DVI.
My problem is that I cannot seem to get a good resolution for my Hannspree monitor. I see that the max resolution of the monitor is 1680 × 1050, but at that resolution the screen seems to cut off a fair amount of the display. It does the same thing at 1440 x 900.
It seems my display area is either cut off or there is a black border around the Hannspree monitor because the screen doesn't adjust to fit the display. I did not see an "auto adjust" option and through the menu buttons, I do not see an option to squash/ stretch the screen.
Am I missing something in my monitor's menu buttons? maybe there's a native resolution I should know about? Any help is appreciated.

- I suspect this is the problem. My video card settings are not allowing me to scale. How do I change that?
