Presario R3000 and fans (by 3 users)

I have Compaq Presario R3000. There are two fans. When laptop starts both
are working. After 5 sec. one stops. When laptop is on, only one fan works.
Is it ok? Is the second one just for emergency?

Similar problem here, im suspecting the HD disk is stuffed...looking at buying a new HD

I think I may have a fan cooling prop can get couple minutes from computer when compltely cold till freezr up where i cant move cursor each new restart gets shorter n shorter b tween freezes or is there a different problem ty

The running one is the CPU cooling fan. The second is the video chip
(GPU) cooling fan that will activate when doing heavy graphics - video
gaming, etc.
