Question about Panasonic Microwave Ovens

1 Answer

Panasonic Dimension 4 Microwave/Grill/Oven approx. five years old has suddenly lost the display. Functions still appear to be operating correctly. Is this likely to be just the display that has failed and if so where can I buy a new display and is this a D.I.Y. job or should I have an expert carry out the task please? Many thanks Derek Simmonds

Found a local guy who is extremely handy with electronics and prepared to "have a go" at anything with a pcb involved. I don't know what he did but he repaired the board for £30 (rather than replacing the microwave for £150) and it is working fine.

After many years of good service my Dimension 4 does not microwave. It goes through all the motions but doens not heat the food. the convection and grill functions are working fine. HELP!

Hi Michael,

i think something wrong with its high-tension circuit or your magnitron is bad.
the minor fault is open of therm stat for protection.
or burnt fuse in circuit.

regards,
nuwan.

Microwave stops after 22 seconds

Not sure what the problem is but I have exactly the same fault with mine. Apparently it's either going to be the inverter, the magatron or both. Cost approx £120 inc callout.

My advice: Get a new one!

H98 error

H95, H97, H98 or H99 mean that there's a problem with your inverter, magnetron, or digital programming circuit.

Due to the lethal voltages used and produced in inverters, I do not recommend that an inexperienced person work on these.
